The Bachelor – Episode 2

The main thing that kept running through my head as this episode progressed was, ‘these women should know what they’re getting themselves into’.  Haven’t most of these girls seen the show before?  Why are they surprised when Jake spends time with other women, or is kissed by other women?  Especially Michelle; I swear she’d make the perfect stalker!  Wait, who’s that behind you? … Looking over your shoulder? … Oh, ok, it’s nothing.  :-)  She’s obsessed with trying on the jewelry first and she got visibly upset when he doesn’t choose her to go out on a group date.  Get a grip, he’ll go on a group date with you soon enough.  Yikes!

One common theme that I’m noticing is the fact that as Jake is spending time 1 0n 1 with these girls, another girl takes it upon herself to interrupt the conversation.  That would get me mad quickly.  A few of the girls were really opening up to Jake; some were in the midst of crying when suddenly they’re interrupted.  If I was Jake, I’d have to say hold on…give us a minute.  Show some respect girls!

I thought the 1 0n 1 date with Ali was nice.  I give her a lot of credit for going on the plane ride, it was a little outside her comfort zone.  She seems like a great girl, she’s down to earth and easy to talk with.  I think Jake was right when he said she was the complete package and I can see him with a girl like that.  You have to admin though; the ‘On the Wings of Love’ song that played as they were flying was pretty cheesy.

The group date at Six Flags looked like it was fun.  No lines, no screaming kids, and as far as the skill games went, there was a winner every time!  A few of the women opened up to him, and of course just as they were, guess what?  They were interrupted!

When Jake returns to the mansion, we find out that Rozlyn had entered into a relationship with a Bachelor staffer.  I thought it was VERY awkward when Chris confronted her.  It seemed like he took the longest time to tell her.  To top it all off, she had no reaction at all and played dumb about it!   She didn’t think she did anything deceitful.  Um … HELLO!!?  I think Jake was surprised by the whole thing; Personally, I would have said alright, forget her, let’s move on.  Was he really that close to her?  Finally, Jake eliminated more women at the rose ceremony.  Michelle made it through another week.  It will be interesting to see if he’ll regret that decision.

There were a few interesting things that I noticed while watching.  If these girls are living in a mansion, a REAL mansion – when Rozlyn was packing her things to leave, Why were there like 8 beds all crammed into that one little room?  That doesn’t seem like a mansion to me.  It’s more like a fire code violation!  And does Chris REALLY need to walk in and announce that it’s the final rose?  We know it, they know it, HE knows it – don’t bother telling us!
